The starting point

Morimondo parking was set as starting point for convenience. It is reachable by car along the highway 526 and turning right, for those coming from Milan, at the first entrance of the town of Morimondo (just after the cemetery), where you will find at 50 meters the entrance of the parking. For the more athletic ones, that wanted to get to the starting point by the bike, just walk the towpath of Naviglio Grande to Abbiategrasso, then take the towpath of the Bereguardo Naviglio and continue on the same up to 500 meters after the IV basin turning then to the right and coming right in front of the cemetery.

The path

The route is a loop of about 15 km that crosses Morimondo, Fallavecchia and Besate growing on paved roads and dirt tracks leading the visitor to the rediscovery of the agricultural landscape, among farms, cultivated fields, forests and meadows. The suggestion is guaranteed.

From the parking area, take the road down that you will find in front of you, keeping the left for 500 meters along the small road that passes below the village of Morimondo. Putting shoulder to the Abbey, get onto the dirt road that you find to your right and follow it for 800 meters while keeping your right. Turn left and continue for about 1 km, passing through a small wood until you reach the small bridge in front of Cascina Cerina di Mezzo. Then turn left and continue keeping to the paved road that will lead you to Cascina Caremma. The road here will again be dirt for about 2 km, returning then to the asphalt near Besate town.

Turning left at the first stop, after 200 meters you will reach the square of the village, where you can admire the war memorial. Turn left again and drive for 1.1 km then take the Highway 526 and at the first sharp bend take the paved road that winds through the small town of Fallavecchia. Then, exit from the arch and turn right onto the street you will find a little later in front of you on the other side of the highway. Follow the above for 1.5 km, until you arrive at Cascina Fornace, turning left and getting onto the towpath of the Bereguardo Naviglio, that you will follow, passing closest to a beautiful stone bridge dating back to 800, for 3.5 km then turn left and after 600 meters you’ll find yourself in front of the starting point.

Cascina Caremma

About half of the roupte you will find Cascina Caremma where you can enjoy a unique beer, produced by the same company in collaboration with the lab beer obtained from organic products. Among other things, you will find at Parco Ticino info point really interesting news. Even in the home of Besate you can find bars and pubs where to drink, and in particular we recommend Zyme Pub where you can be lead in sensory, smelled and  tasted journeys, to discover the many faces of the different beers that this place has to offer. If you arrive at the end, we recommend an excellent home made ice cream at Repossi Ice-Cream shop , found in the town square of Morimondo
