In view of the collaboration between public and private , Traders and the Municipal Administrations, it can develop and integrate the provision of services and amenities of the municipalities in question.

Bareggio Municipality

Located halfway between Milan and the Ticino river shore, the Bareggio Municipality, the ancient land of St Ambrogio now has 17,049 inhabitants. Thanks to the presence of the South Milan Agricultural Park, holds one of the best ratios of green space per inhabitant of Milan hinterland.

The origin of Bareggio name lends itself to two different interpretations. Some scholars derive it from Baradigium or Baradeglum (the distance from the mountains) and it dates back to the Lombard era. Others derive it instead from Baraggia (uncultivated place): this interpretation, however, is at odds with the reality of the country since the  agriculture of the region is thriving.

The agricultural activities are predominant in Cisliano, a landscape among the best preserved of the province of Milan, so as to be included in the South Milan Agricultural Park. Here, the countryside retains the characteristics of the rural traditions of a civilization that is disappearing.

Some fine buildings make it a pleasant visit to the town. In particular, the Parish Church of St. John Baptist dating back to 700, the Church of St. Maria Assunta is located in the hamlet of Bestazzo and the chapel of Our Lady of Ravette always in Bestazzo. Even the Scanna Farmhouse, dating back to the sixteenth century, where some remains have been found in the Necropolis of the fourth century and the Palace Terzago Palace are both worth visiting.
