Along the Naviglio from Abbiategrasso to Fagiana

Starting from Abbiategrasso by bike, one of the most characteristic itineraries is the one that connects the city to Fagiana natural Park, within the territories of the Ticino Park.

The route winds along Naviglio Abbiategrasso trafficking of delights , touching the territories bordering the channel: Albairate, Robecco and Ponte Vecchio. With no special difficulties and mainly closed to cars transit, the route offers a chance to explore the nature and history of this part of the waterway.

The first part of the route is entirely cyclable along the canal and up to Ponte Vecchio, where you leave the cyclalble to continue on a paved road affected by a limited vehicles transit. By following this path in the direction of Fagiana Natural Park you’ll reach after a few kilometers, Cascina Bullona. The farm is home of a Holydays Farm and it offers the opportunity to refresh themselves before delving into the intricacies of the Fagiana forest. Within the reserve is possible to observe unique species of flora and fauna, including deer, typical of the TicinoPark.
